Welcome to the Northwest String Summit!

The Northwest String Summit was born eight years ago as a showcase for Yonder Mountain String Band and its incredible extended family of premier acoustic and eclectic pickers. This year, more than ever, we are seeing the extension of Yonder’s musical family with repeat visits from Darol Anger, Keller Williams, Danny Barnes, Drew Emmitt, Vince Hermann, and other musicians who have played with the guys in side projects.

Equally important to the String Summit is Horning’s Hideout. We would not do this festival if we could not have it at Horning’s. This gem of a venue, complete with natural wooded amphitheater, ponds, peacocks, and 350 acres of surrounding forest and hills, is unlike any other. The fact that the majority of patrons come for multiple days and camp out is a testament to how special this venue really is. There are multiple camping areas around the property which cater to everyone’s needs from quiet family camping to all night picking and singing. If you are a fan of Yonder Mountain, but have not been to Horning’s Hideout, you owe it to yourself to come out and share in this extraordinary experience.

The Northwest String Summit is a moderately sized festival which in the past has been about 3000 folks. We also boast a state of the art sound and lights production which makes for the ultimate intimate festival experience. This year we have moved the festival a month earlier to make it easy for you all to plan a memorable trip or family vacation. This is a destination festival that is sure to complete your summer!
